Software Engineer – Java & Python (Hybrid, Letterkenny)

About the role

Join the Technology Solutions Group at PGIM in Letterkenny and help build scalable back‑office and middle‑office applications. You will work in a fast‑moving, hybrid environment, designing Java and Spring‑based services as well as Python data‑processing layers and REST APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and Python applications following modern coding standards.
• Create and expose RESTful APIs for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product owners and tech leads to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Provide L3 support for production incidents and resolve service requests promptly.
• Write unit, integration, and functional automation tests and address quality issues.
• Contribute to cloud‑based deployments on AWS or Azure.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong focus on Java using the Spring framework.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for data processing and API development.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team setting.
