Software Quality Assurance Analyst (12 Month Fixed Term)

About the role

Motorola Solutions is opening a new Research & Development Centre in Cork, Ireland, focused on designing software for its land mobile radio (LMR) portfolio. It is looking for a self-driven Software Quality Assurance Analyst to take part in its software development quality assurance process. This is a 12-month fixed-term position based onsite in Cork.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product specifications and execute targeted test cases to confirm compliance with them
• Identify and resolve defects so they do not reach end users
• Understand product requirements and match them to test cases
• Set up the test environment in preparation for manual test case execution
• Execute test cases, analyze results and report all detected issues and defects
• Track reported issues and defects and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with other team members and test managers
• Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Attention to detail and an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving aptitude
• Familiarity with hardware, software and a keen eye for detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• Advantageous: working knowledge of test management software such as ALM
• Advantageous: familiarity with manual and regression testing processes
• Advantageous: familiarity with hardware testing of telecommunications and IT networking products
