Solutions Engineer (Pre‑Sales)

About the role

Ocuco is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join its Dublin headquarters. Reporting to the Head of Solution Architecture, you will act as the technical bridge between the sales organisation and customers, helping to translate business challenges into tailored software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to understand prospect requirements and develop compelling value propositions.
• Lead discovery workshops, gather technical and business needs, and produce customised product demos and proposals.
• Design scalable solutions using Ocuco’s product portfolio, configure environments, and advise on integrations with third‑party systems.
• Serve as the technical subject‑matter expert throughout the sales cycle, answering detailed product, integration and infrastructure questions.
• Create and deliver proof‑of‑concept or pilot implementations, define test criteria and measure success.
• Facilitate hand‑over to implementation teams, providing detailed solution context and supporting early deployment phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in sales engineering, pre‑sales or solution consulting within a B2B SaaS, enterprise software or healthcare‑IT environment.
• Proven ability to work closely with sales teams and customers to design and present software solutions.
