Specialty Doctor – Breast & General Radiology

About the role

The Highland Breast Centre is seeking a Specialty Doctor to support both breast imaging and general radiology services. You will join a collaborative team delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging to screening and symptomatic patients across the Highlands.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reporting and interpretation for breast imaging studies, including screening and diagnostic examinations.
• Deliver general radiology reporting across a range of modalities as required.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management decisions.
• Support service development and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with NHS governance and quality standards.

Required profile

• Registered on the GMC Specialist Register with a licence to practise.
• Working towards CESR qualification.
• Experience in breast imaging and general radiology.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Breast imaging interpretation.
• General radiology reporting.
• Use of tele‑radiology platforms for out‑of‑hours coverage.
