Staff Data Engineer

About the role

We are building the data layer that powers a modern software platform handling tens of millions of requests daily and petabytes of data each month. As a Staff Data Engineer you will shape the architecture and delivery of this platform, ensuring data is reliable, timely, and directly fuels the product.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve the data platform architecture for high‑throughput, low‑latency processing.
• Build and operate CDC pipelines that capture every change without loss.
• Develop scalable event‑driven pipelines using technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Collaborate with security, product, and billing teams to deliver cross‑functional data solutions.
• Solve system‑level challenges, not just ticket‑based issues, and raise the overall quality of data usage.

Required profile

• Extensive data engineering experience at large scale.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed, event‑driven systems.
• Proficiency with AWS and modern data tooling.
• Strong coding ability in Python and SQL.
• Passion for how data is consumed and a mindset focused on systems rather than isolated pipelines.
