Staff Nurse – Acute Medicine Unit

About the role

The Acute Medicine Unit at Raigmore Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse. You will join a fast‑paced team that delivers care across an Acute Assessment Unit, Ambulatory Emergency Care, and a Medical High Dependency Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to acutely unwell patients admitted from the community and Emergency Department.
• Support the delivery of care in the Acute Assessment Unit, Ambulatory Emergency Care and Medical High Dependency Unit.
• Collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment.
• Participate in clinical handovers, documentation and patient education.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a genuine caring attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning, developing clinical expertise and supporting colleagues.
• Commitment to NHS Scotland’s equality, diversity and inclusion values.
