Staff Nurse – Ambulatory Care & Diagnostics

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostics Department in Roscommon. This permanent, whole‑time position is open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants and offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality nursing care in a dynamic outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients attending ambulatory clinics and diagnostic services.
• Conduct patient assessments, administer treatments and coordinate follow‑up care.
• Document clinical observations accurately and maintain patient records in accordance with HSE standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMBI registration.
• Experience in ambulatory or diagnostic nursing environments is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and patient‑centred care.
