About the role

The Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit will join a multidisciplinary team at St James’s Hospital, delivering high‑quality patient care throughout the endoscopic pathway. This role focuses on managing patient care, supporting families, and maintaining clinical standards within the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure seamless patient journeys.
• Maintain and monitor quality standards and patient safety throughout the unit.
• Support patients and families, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Develop and enhance clinical skills specific to endoscopy as required.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with appropriate qualifications for acute or endoscopy care.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
