Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse

About the role

We are seeking Staff Nurses/Enhanced Nurses to join Castlerea Adult Services, delivering person‑centred care across residential, respite, day, community and home settings. Two permanent full‑time posts (75 hours per fortnight) and one temporary full‑time post (70 hours per fortnight) operate on a 14‑day roster, covering days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleep‑overs and night duty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Develop, implement and review individual care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
• Educate and support families on health promotion and care strategies.
• Participate in team meetings, individual reviews, training sessions and performance management activities.

Required profile

• Current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (RNID or RGN qualification).
• Full clean manual driving licence; ability to obtain a Class D1 licence if not already held (support provided).
• Understanding of the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and maintain confidentiality.
