Staff Nurse – Operating Theatre (Permanent)

About the role

Beaumont Hospital is seeking experienced Staff Nurses to join the Operating Theatre team. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care across pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative phases within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare clinical areas for peri‑operative patients and complete all safety checks.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care before, during and after surgery.
• Communicate and coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other team members to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, recommending improvements where needed.
• Adhere to NMBI standards, hospital policies, and evidence‑based practice.
• Document patient conditions continuously and keep the theatre charge nurse informed of any changes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMBI registration.
• Knowledge of national and local peri‑operative guidelines and hospital SOPs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Accountable for personal actions and committed to continuous professional development.
