About the role

Randstad Student Support is seeking qualified specialists to provide one‑to‑one study‑skills support for university and college students with specific learning difficulties. The role is hybrid, combining online sessions with face‑to‑face meetings on local campuses across Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individualized study‑skills support to higher‑education students with SpLDs.
• Help students develop academic independence through organisation, time‑management and personalised action plans.
• Teach tailored learning strategies that build on each student’s strengths.
• Guide research, critical analysis, referencing and structured writing techniques.
• Maintain accurate caseload records while ensuring confidentiality.

Required profile

• Professional membership with the British Dyslexia Association, ADSHE, Dyslexia Guild or PATOSS at the eligible level.
• Proven experience supporting learners with SpLDs in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication, active listening and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, strong caseload management and commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.
• Familiarity with the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) quality framework.
