Supervising Pharmacist – 45‑hour Permanent Role

About the role

Allcare Pharmacy in Mounttown is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist to lead its daily operations. This is a full‑time, 45‑hour permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9 am‑5:30 pm. You will join a small team comprising a Store Manager, a Relief Pharmacist and a Technician, ensuring high‑quality pharmacy services for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Act 2007 and all statutory regulations.
• Maintain professional standards of the community pharmacy and oversee health‑promotion programmes.
• Manage stock control, receipt, documentation and security of all pharmacy goods.
• Oversee Department of Health schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS), monthly submissions and reconciliations.
• Support the Store Manager with retail standards, category management, merchandising and health‑and‑safety adherence.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and PSI practice guidance.

Required profile

• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland with at least 3 years post‑registration experience.
• 1‑2 years experience as a Supervising Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
• Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Irish pharmacy legislation and PSI practice guidelines.
• Competence in stock control, merchandising and category management.
• Familiarity with Department of Health pharmacy schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS).
• Understanding of health‑and‑safety regulations applicable to retail pharmacies.
