Supervising Pharmacist – Ennis Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a Supervising Pharmacist to lead our team at Life, Flynns Pharmacy in Ennis. This permanent, full‑time position works Monday‑Saturday within standard store hours and offers the chance to maintain high professional standards in a community setting.

Key responsibilities

• Observe all statutory regulations under the Pharmacy Act 2007 and ensure compliant supply of medical products.
• Maintain professional standards, health‑promotion programs, and pharmaceutical care implementation.
• Oversee stock control, receipt, documentation, and security of all pharmacy assets.
• Ensure health and safety compliance per the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Manage confidentiality of business information and adhere to company policies.
• Process Department of Health schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS) accurately and reconcile payments monthly.
• Support the pharmacy manager with retail standards, category management, merchandising, and stock control.
• Stay current with legislative changes and PSI practice guidance.

Required profile

• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland with at least 3 years post‑registration experience.
• 1‑2 years experience as a Supervising/Managing Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
• Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
