Supervisor – Load & Haul

About the role

The Supervisor – Load & Haul leads daily production activities on Lihir Island, ensuring that mining targets are met safely, efficiently and with high quality. You will provide on‑the‑ground leadership, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement for reliable mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer accurate employee timesheets and submit them on schedule.
• Liaise with other departments and partners to achieve site production goals.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and participate in improvement teams.
• Supervise, guide and support crew members to meet production targets.
• Collaborate with fellow supervisors on change‑management and standard methodology implementation.
• Oversee safe and efficient use of mining and support equipment, including task training for operators.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and risk‑mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead production crews in a high‑performance mining environment.
• Strong operational knowledge of load & haul activities and heavy mining equipment.
• Experience in production optimisation and meeting daily targets.
• Demonstrated safety leadership, risk management and compliance expertise.
• Solid foundation in mining or industrial engineering principles, through qualification or extensive field experience.
