Swim Instructor – Group & One‑to‑One Lessons

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Swim Instructor to deliver safe, engaging swim lessons to mixed‑ability groups and individuals in Dublin. You will create a calm, confident environment, helping participants develop technique, water confidence and fitness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver group and one‑to‑one swim lessons, adapting progressions to each learner.
• Provide clear technical instruction, demonstrations and constructive feedback.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive poolside atmosphere.
• Manage pool safety, work closely with lifeguard colleagues and follow venue policies.
• Support and lead aqua‑aerobics classes.
• Celebrate achievements, promote additional sessions and aid retention.
• Prepare session plans, equipment, briefing notes and keep accurate attendance and progress records.

Required profile

• Valid RLSS / Irish Water Safety Lifeguard Certification and swimming teacher certification.
• Current CPR / First Aid certification.
• Experience delivering both group and individual lessons with positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication, calm presence and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Professional, punctual, detail‑oriented and committed to safety and inclusion.

Required skills

• RLSS / Irish Water Safety Lifeguard Certification
• Swimming teacher certification
• CPR / First Aid
• Aqua Aerobics experience
