Talent Acquisition Executive

About the role

JJ Rhatigan, a leading Irish construction contractor, is looking for a proactive Talent Acquisition Executive to join its HR team in Galway. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will own the end‑to‑end recruitment process for a wide range of positions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval to onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers to define workforce needs and devise recruitment strategies.
• Draft and post job adverts on relevant boards and support marketing with social media recruitment campaigns.
• Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and coordinate interview schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience.
• Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and attend career fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
• Support graduate and apprenticeship programmes and develop talent pipelines.
• Monitor recruitment metrics, prepare hiring reports and ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Assist with onboarding and contribute to broader HR projects as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
• Strong interviewing, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to build effective relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Desirable: degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline; experience in construction or technical recruitment.

Required skills

• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
