Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting across multiple European jurisdictions. Working closely with business, trading, HR, and external advisors, the role blends operational excellence with commercial partnership to support day‑to‑day tax activities and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review European tax compliance obligations, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Dividend Withholding Tax, Financial Transaction Taxes, Stamp Duties and Transfer Pricing.
• Ensure accurate, timely delivery of all tax filings and monitor legislative changes for business impact.
• Support year‑end financial reporting, audit processes, tax disclosures and respond to tax authority enquiries.
• Maintain and strengthen internal tax controls, policies and procedures.
• Provide tax advice to business units, HR and Payroll on employment tax, PAYE and global mobility matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Assist with finance and ERP transformation projects and expansion into new jurisdictions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance or advisory.
• Qualified Tax Advisor (AITI/CTA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong experience with Irish corporate tax and multi‑jurisdictional tax accounting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tax heads and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
