Tax Accountant (recently qualified)

About the role

You will join a global banking and financial services group as a Tax Accountant, working closely with the Head of Tax for Ireland. The role involves providing tax compliance and advisory support across all Irish business lines and entities.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the end‑to‑end VAT process for outsourced and insourced services.
• Prepare and file Irish VAT returns and EVR claims.
• Liaise with external advisors to file foreign VAT returns on time.
• Manage VAT receivables and engage tax authorities when needed.
• Oversee Irish Corporation Tax and Preliminary Tax obligations with external support.
• Provide tax input for month‑end/quarter‑end provisioning and perform tax account reconciliations.
• Manage and file AEOI returns, including FATCA and CRS.
• Handle tax obligations for DIRT, IUT, Encashment Tax, DWT, stamp duty, bank levy and other statutory filings.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of experience in a tax environment, preferably within financial services.
• Qualified Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor.
• Strong project‑management, time‑management and stakeholder‑relationship skills.
