Tax Manager - Employment & Global Mobility

About the role

Join the Group Tax function of a major organisation as a Tax Manager focusing on employment tax and global mobility. You will work in a small, high‑functioning team, owning meaningful work from day one and contributing directly to the business’s compliance and commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the go‑to employment tax advisor for business units across the group, providing proactive guidance on Irish and UK matters.
• Participate in strategic projects and initiatives with high visibility across the organisation.
• Translate complex tax issues into plain English for HR, Finance and senior stakeholders.
• Manage employment tax risk across the group and hold external advisers accountable.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Oversee employment tax return filings, focusing on advisory support while HR handles most compliance tasks.

Required profile

• CTA qualification (essential).
• Minimum 3 years of Irish employment tax experience, either in practice or industry.
• Solid understanding of employment tax issues relevant to a large banking or financial services group.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder instincts.
• Strong IT proficiency.
