Tax Manager – Financial Services

About the role

PWC Ireland is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Financial Services Tax team. The role focuses on delivering tax advisory and compliance services to leading domestic and multinational financial institutions, with a particular emphasis on alternative asset management clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax planning, compliance and advisory services to clients across asset & wealth management, aviation finance, banking and insurance.
• Structure Irish fund products and advise on the Irish tax aspects of cross‑border transactions.
• Identify and assess tax risks, analyse foreign tax implications and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain regular interaction with Irish Revenue, the Department of Finance and industry bodies such as OECD working groups.
• Collaborate with PwC tax professionals in Ireland and the global network on complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience in tax consulting for financial services, preferably within alternative asset management.
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Proven ability to work on high‑value, cross‑border transactions and to communicate with senior client stakeholders.
• Willingness to engage with regulatory bodies and industry groups.
