Tax Specialist – Irish Entity (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a global commercial organisation, is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its finance function in Dublin. The role offers end‑to‑end responsibility for Irish tax compliance and reporting, while contributing to the development of the local tax strategy. It is a hybrid position with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, ideal for a recently qualified tax professional transitioning from practice to an in‑house role.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full Irish tax compliance across all business activities.
• Manage VAT returns, VAT compliance and fiscal representation matters.
• Prepare and submit Intrastat and other statutory/statistical reports.
• Support corporate tax calculations in collaboration with external advisors.
• Coordinate transfer‑pricing documentation with external specialists.
• Review supplier and customer contracts from a tax and compliance perspective.
• Reconcile tax balance‑sheet accounts and support accurate tax reporting.
• Respond to ad‑hoc queries on tax implications of transactions.
• Assist the finance team during month‑end and other reporting cycles.
• Act as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Required profile

• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualified or equivalent (ACA/ACCA).
• Experience in a multinational organisation or Big 4 tax practice.
• Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect tax, especially VAT.
• Proven ability to work with external advisors and cross‑functional teams.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail and professional communication skills.
