Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Specialist will support the VP Tax in managing the company's tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions. This role ensures compliance with local and international tax laws while contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely tax filing, reporting, and payment obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
• Support annual tax provisioning and quarterly tax reporting, including preparation of tax computations, provisions, returns, and journal postings.
• Monitor corporate tax risk, track tax authority matters, and coordinate responses across jurisdictions.
• Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments and implement required changes.
• Participate in tax reviews of leasing and transaction activities, assessing international tax implications and managing tax risks.
• Identify and implement improvements to tax processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors, providing documentation and analysis as needed.
• Provide tax and finance support to the broader Finance team.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) – AITI qualified.
• 1–5+ years post‑qualification experience in a tax role.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Willingness to travel to engage with external tax advisers.
• Exposure to the aviation leasing sector and working knowledge of US corporate tax is desirable.
