Team Leader – Residential Services for Adults with Intellectual Disability

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the day‑to‑day management of residential services for adults with intellectual disability in Limerick City. This role ensures that personalised supports are delivered safely, effectively and in line with HIQA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential services, maintaining compliance with HIQA standards.
• Develop and enhance a personalised range of residential supports to meet current and emerging client needs.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff, ensuring high‑quality care delivery.
• Prepare reports, manage administration and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with external regulators and stakeholders to ensure service quality.
• Be on call for emergencies and work flexible evenings and weekend shifts as required.

Required profile

• Level 7 third‑level qualification (minimum) with appropriate professional registration.
• At least 3 years experience working with people with intellectual disability.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise staff.
• Commitment to Personal Lifestyle Planning and person‑centred care.
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and be on call.
