Team Leader – Social Care (CMN1)

About the role

The CMN1/Social Care Leader will manage the day‑to‑day operation of an integrated day and residential service for adults with high support needs in Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. Reporting to the Service Coordinator/Area Manager, the role ensures services are delivered in line with personal outcome measures, HIQI standards and the organisation’s vision of supporting people with intellectual disabilities to live valued lives in their community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day‑care and residential activities, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred support.
• Develop and monitor personal outcome measures and compliance with HIQI regulations.
• Supervise, mentor and schedule staff, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
• Promote independence, community participation, friendships and choice for each individual.
• Maintain physical, medical, social and emotional wellbeing records and report to management.
• Facilitate community networking and leisure opportunities for service users.

Required profile

• Current Live Register Certificate from An Bord Altranais (essential).
• RNID/RMHN qualification or a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies (Disability) / Social Care.
• Full clean manual driving licence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Management qualification desirable or commitment to obtain one.
• Innovative, flexible and motivated with a vision for improving service delivery.

Required skills
