Team Leader – Social Care (Permanent, Full‑Time)

About the role

The Team Leader will manage day‑to‑day delivery of social care services across the Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare and Ballaghaderreen areas. This permanent, full‑time position provides leadership, supervision and development of services in line with national standards and best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Team Manager with overall service management, including person‑centred planning and outcome measurement.
• Oversee resource management, staffing rosters and staff development.
• Facilitate effective communication and professional leadership within the team.
• Ensure compliance with national standards and promote quality of life for people supported.
• Support community integration and active citizenship for service users.

Required profile

• Relevant third‑level qualification in Nursing with a current Live Register Certificate from NMBI, OR registration (or eligibility) on the Social Care Workers Register (CORU), OR a Schedule 3 qualification, OR a comparable qualification recognised by CORU.
• Qualification in Health and Social Care Management (QQI Level 6) – or a commitment to obtain it before starting.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience working with people with an intellectual disability.
• Proven experience in managing a staff team, motivating and achieving results.
