Technical Lead – Remote (Ireland)

About the role

This remote Technical Lead position is based in Ireland and focuses on driving the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable, high‑quality software solutions within a global engineering environment. You will own the technical direction across multiple projects, ensuring robustness, maintainability, and alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable software solutions, guaranteeing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting clean‑code principles and continuous improvement.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and define technical standards for consistent, high‑quality delivery.
• Make key architectural decisions while proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, UI/UX designers, and project managers to align technical solutions with product requirements.
• Drive automation initiatives and optimise engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including senior technical leadership.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong decision‑making skills with experience managing technical risks.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
