Technical Leader – Software Development

About the role
We are looking for a Technical Leader to drive the design, development, delivery, and evolution of scalable, secure, mission‑critical software systems. The role combines deep technical expertise with architectural leadership and stakeholder management, especially in highly regulated sectors such as banking and payments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of complex software solutions.
- Own technical delivery across multiple services and applications.
- Resolve cross‑functional issues and manage dependencies.
- Define technical roadmaps and identify platform improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to prioritize work and make trade‑offs.
- Promote engineering best practices, code quality, security, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of modern technologies, architecture patterns, and automation.
- Lead incident reviews and blameless post‑mortems.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in hiring, technical interviews, and talent development.
Required profile
- 6–10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading technical teams in enterprise‑grade applications.
- Background in Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or other highly regulated environments is highly preferred.
Required skills
- Java, JavaScript, SQL.
- Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, event‑driven architectures.
- Object‑oriented design, design patterns, API‑driven solutions.
- Secure development standards (OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT).
- Authentication/authorization technologies (OAuth, SAML, JWT, RBAC, MFA, SSO).
- Encryption, cryptography, digital signatures.
- Regulatory compliance knowledge (GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Cloud‑native design, PaaS, FaaS, containerization, virtualization.
- Experience with API gateways, service meshes, databases, load balancers.
- Capacity planning, scalability, resilience, disaster‑recovery strategies.
