Technical Services Engineer

About the role

MongoDB is looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join its Dublin team on a hybrid working model. You will work directly with large customers, helping them solve complex database challenges across architecture, performance, security, and recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on MongoDB deployment, scaling, and optimization for mission‑critical environments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues spanning application, database, storage, and network layers.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to advocate for customer needs.
• Develop internal tools for performance benchmarking, diagnostics, and support automation.
• Mentor new team members and share knowledge of emerging MongoDB product lines.

Required profile

• Strong systems‑engineering background with hands‑on experience in Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, security, networking, and clustering.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS.
• Experience with storage technologies including NAS, SAN, SSD, multi‑pathing, and caching.
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex, mission‑critical production database systems.
• Curiosity, calmness under pressure, and a genuine desire to help customers.
