Tour Coordinator – Fixed Term

About the role

The Tour Coordinator supports the Visitor Centre Team Leader in delivering an exceptional visitor experience at the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre. This fixed‑term role blends operational coordination, team leadership, administration and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist daily operations, compile monthly performance reports and participate in weekly operational meetings.
• Guide and develop team members, manage staff rotas, monitor attendance and address staffing issues.
• Engage visitors, share brand knowledge and ensure high standards of presentation and service.
• Maintain relationships with tour operators, coordinate bookings and keep administrative systems up to date.
• Oversee stock ordering, EPOS procedures, sales and visitor data recording.
• Coordinate maintenance issues and support planning of events, corporate visits and VIP experiences.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, organised and customer‑focused professional with hospitality, tourism or retail experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with visitors, colleagues and partners.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented with the confidence to make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
