Trading Team Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

Join B&Q as a Trading Team Manager and lead a high‑performing store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for driving commercial performance on the sales floor while coaching colleagues to make every customer count.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial delivery of the core trading sales floor, including end‑to‑end stock management, range changes and promotions.
• Conduct regular commercial reviews using sales data, loyalty insights and customer feedback.
• Coach and develop team members to build deep product knowledge and deliver meaningful customer interactions.
• Maintain and improve stock management rituals and routines to ensure product availability.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and coach a retail team, focusing on performance and development.
• Strong organisational skills with a passion for process and planning.
• Comfortable analysing commercial data and translating insights into action.

Required skills

• Experience with stock management and retail merchandising processes.
• Ability to interpret sales data and loyalty insights.
