Trainee Manager

About the role

This full‑time Trainee Manager position offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the store management team while rotating through all key departments of a busy grocery outlet. You will gain practical experience in sales, merchandising, supply chain and customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales, gross profit, net margin, waste and other KPI targets.
• Participate in training programmes and performance assessments.
• Maintain store presentation to planogram standards and ensure correct product range.
• Handle ordering, deliveries, stock rotation and control procedures.
• Manage assigned departments and oversee cash/till balancing.
• Embrace new initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 1 year experience in retail (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication, delegation and commercial awareness.
• Highly driven, with a solid work ethic and passion for grocery retail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving store environment.
