Trainee Manager – Retail Store (Full‑time)

About the role

This is a full‑time Trainee Manager position in a grocery store located in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow. You will support the store management team while gaining hands‑on experience across all store departments.

Key responsibilities

• Live the Centra brand values and promote a proud, energetic, imaginative, community‑based environment.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets, gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs together with the Store Manager.
• Participate in training, development initiatives and performance assessments.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard, following planograms and guidelines.
• Implement ordering, delivery, stock rotation and control procedures.
• Manage assigned departments and support fresh‑food sections.
• Engage with new initiatives and adopt new ways of working.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the retail industry (desirable).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience handling cash/tills and fresh‑food operations (desirable).
• Excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic, commercial awareness and brand awareness.
• Passion for grocery retail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
