Trainee Manager – Retail Store Operations

About the role

This full‑time Trainee Manager position offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the store management team while rotating through all key departments of a busy grocery outlet. You will gain practical experience in retail operations, sales targets, and customer service within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales, gross profit, net margin, waste reduction and other KPI targets.
• Participate actively in training programmes, performance assessments and brand‑value initiatives.
• Maintain store presentation to the highest standard, following planograms and merchandising guidelines.
• Execute ordering, delivery, stock rotation and control procedures accurately.
• Manage assigned departments, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Engage with new initiatives and adopt innovative ways of working.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the retail sector (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and delegation abilities.
• Highly driven with a solid work ethic and commercial awareness.
• Passion for grocery retail and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word.
