Transport Planner – Dublin (Hybrid)

About the role

The Transport Planner will join XPO Logistics' Dublin hub on a hybrid basis, planning and optimizing daily transport schedules to maximise fleet utilisation while meeting service‑level agreements. This role supports end‑to‑end logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, customers and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise daily transport schedules to ensure efficient use of fleet resources.
• Monitor transport operations and respond promptly to delays, capacity constraints or other issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders and customers to maintain service continuity.
• Maintain accurate records in the transport management system.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners regarding schedule changes and operational updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain or transport planning.
• Experience in a hybrid or fast‑paced operational environment is an advantage.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Education in logistics, supply chain management, transportation or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities and maintain a focus on safety and compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Experience using Transport Management System (TMS) software.
