Transportation Logistics Specialist

About the role

Join a fast‑paced, international technology environment as a Transportation Logistics Specialist based in Ireland. You will own complex logistics operations that move high‑value IT hardware—including servers, racks, and data‑center equipment—across Europe and global lanes, supporting critical infrastructure deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end transportation of IT hardware on domestic, regional and international routes.
• Coordinate air and ocean freight operations, handling carrier selection, booking, scheduling and real‑time tracking.
• Oversee RMA and reverse‑logistics processes, ensuring accurate returns and replacements.
• Maintain full visibility of active shipments, proactively resolving delays and exceptions.
• Ensure precise in‑transit inventory tracking, chain‑of‑custody documentation and shipment records in logistics management systems.
• Handle customs documentation and clearance for cross‑border shipments, complying with EU and international trade regulations.
• Support just‑in‑time delivery, staging and deployment of hardware with data‑center and operations teams.
• Monitor logistics costs, process invoices, manage vendor payments and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align logistics execution with deployment schedules.
• Develop contingency plans and improve routing strategies to enhance continuity and resilience.
• Track and report logistics KPIs, driving continuous improvement through data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation management, preferably with IT hardware.
• Proven experience coordinating air and ocean freight and managing cross‑border shipments.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation for EU and international trade.
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, procurement and data‑center teams in a global, technical environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
