Vendor Management Specialist

About the role
We are looking for a Vendor Management Specialist to support efficient, compliant, and value‑driven procurement across the organisation. The role covers the full procurement lifecycle, from supplier onboarding to contract administration and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day procurement operations, ensuring compliance with policies, delegation of authority, budget controls and legal requirements.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, due‑diligence, risk assessments and maintain accurate supplier master data.
- Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers on purchase orders, invoice discrepancies and service queries, working closely with Accounts Payable.
- Administer contracts, track terms, renewals and compliance obligations.
- Support sourcing activities such as benchmarking, price comparisons, tendering and RFP processes.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and service levels, driving reviews and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records for procurement controls, reporting and audit purposes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, system changes, UAT testing and tool rollouts.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and systems.
Required profile
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, Procure‑to‑Pay or Source‑to‑Pay operations.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end procurement processes, controls and best practices.
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems in a medium‑sized organisation.
- Comfortable supporting sourcing, supplier management and contract administration.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented and compliance‑focused mindset.
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Third‑level qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (desirable).
- Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS (advantage).
