VP Cloud Solution Architect (Azure) – Banking

About the role

Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is expanding its cloud team in Dublin. They are looking for a Vice‑President level Azure Cloud Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of enterprise‑scale cloud solutions within a regulated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Azure architecture standards, Landing Zones, security controls and governance frameworks.
• Lead cloud transformation and migration programmes, moving large on‑premises workloads to Azure.
• Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform and DevSecOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure and Engineering teams to deliver resilient, compliant cloud solutions.
• Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement of cloud services.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering Azure cloud platforms for highly regulated enterprises.
• Proven track record of large‑scale migrations and cloud governance implementation.
• Hands‑on expertise with Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, Entra ID, RBAC, security and governance.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification; experience in financial services is preferred.
