Warehouse Shipping Controller

About the role

The Warehouse Shipping Controller will oversee daily shipping activities within a busy manufacturing environment. This role ensures timely collections, deliveries, and proper handling of both sterile and non‑sterile products while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day warehouse shipping, including collections, deliveries, and storage across internal and external sites.
• Manage transport requirements and prepare weekly shipping schedules in collaboration with external sterilisation and logistics partners.
• Monitor pre‑sterile and post‑sterile product shipments and review sales and capital orders in the ERP system.
• Pick and ship spare‑parts orders, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage.
• Accurately record inventory transactions and maintain shipping documentation compliant with customer, regulatory and dangerous‑goods legislation.
• Produce shipping and consolidation reports and support customs, invoicing and export documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Finance, Trade Compliance and other departments to ensure GMP, GDP, EHS and ISO compliance.
• Provide training to warehouse operatives and handle stakeholder queries related to logistics.

Required profile

• Secondary level education or equivalent experience; logistics qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a high‑volume warehouse or logistics setting.
• Experience with shipping, customs, imports/exports or dangerous‑goods legislation is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to a manufacturing warehouse environment is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
