Workday Extend Consultant/Architect

About the role

Kognitiv Inc. is seeking a Workday Extend Consultant/Architect to join its fast‑growing Extend practice. You will act as the bridge between client ideas and production‑ready Workday applications, using the Workday App Builder and Orchestration Builder to deliver custom, native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into technical blueprints, including UI flows, security domains, and data models.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack Workday Extend applications that are update‑safe and maintainable.
• Build and debug event‑driven orchestrations, performing root‑cause analysis on performance or security issues.
• Contribute reusable components to the internal Solution Library, establishing best practices for future hires.
• Collaborate with functional and integration teams to ensure seamless integration with core HCM, Finance, or Student modules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Workday Extend.
• Strong understanding of Workday data modeling, custom business objects, and security.
• Ability to design robust orchestrations and translate client needs into scalable solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a mindset focused on architectural quality.

• Workday Query Language (WQL)
• REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JSON
