Academic Liaison Officer

About the role

The Academic Liaison Officer will support the Maynooth International Engineering College (MIEC) in delivering four engineering programmes in partnership with Fuzhou University, China. This position bridges administrative functions between Maynooth University and Fuzhou University, ensuring smooth operation of trans‑national programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain administrative processes for joint programmes.
• Coordinate class timetabling across Irish and Chinese campuses.
• Manage examination administration and related documentation.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to academic staff in both locations.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among multinational teams.
• Travel to China when conditions permit to oversee on‑site activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in academic administration or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of higher‑education processes and international collaboration.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with class timetabling systems.
• Knowledge of examination management procedures.
• Familiarity with cross‑border academic administration.
