Audit Manager – Financial Crime (Banking)

About the role

The leading global financial institution is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join its Dublin‑based Centre of Excellence. You will lead internal audit activities that protect the organisation against financial crime, including fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, bribery and corruption.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and review regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and legal teams to recommend improvements.
• Support the development and implementation of audit programmes and process enhancements.
• Participate in audit engagements across functional areas, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.
• Prepare audit documentation such as Audit Planning Memoranda, Process Risk and Control Matrices, findings grids and detailed reports.
• Oversee follow‑up actions on audit findings and regulatory reviews.
• Manage communications with senior management and external auditors throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Contribute to the design, testing and implementation of audit solutions and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership to executive audiences on emerging financial‑crime trends.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CGSS, CAFS or regional equivalents.
• Proven experience in internal audit or financial‑crime risk management within regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of AML, ATF and related financial‑crime regulations.
