Buyer – Retail, Front of Shop (Hybrid, Dublin 24)

About the role

This position is for a commercial Buyer responsible for a Front of Shop category within a large Irish retail group operating over 300 stores. Based in Dublin 24, the role is hybrid (three days on‑site) and offers full ownership of the end‑to‑end commercial cycle, from supplier negotiation to in‑store activation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete commercial cycle for assigned categories, including planning, buying and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate directly with global brands to secure pricing, promotions, exclusive launches and first‑to‑market deals.
• Drive promotional cycles, joint business plans, margin targets and sell‑through performance.
• Manage planograms, space allocation and range performance to optimise shelf impact.
• Collaborate closely with wholesale and retail teams to leverage buying power.
• Represent the category at weekly trade and commercial meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in buying or assistant buying.
• Experience with branded, supplier‑led categories such as beauty, FMCG, confectionery, health, electrical or power tools.
• Comfortable owning a P&L number and delivering commercial results.
• Ability to work independently in a lean, hands‑on environment.
