Commercial Lead Pharmacist

About the role

The Commercial Lead – Pharmacist will drive the strategic growth and financial performance of Beacon Pharmacy’s retail service in Dublin 18. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the role combines business leadership with high‑quality, patient‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the retail pharmacy business plan.
• Drive revenue growth through prescription capture, private services and retail optimisation.
• Identify and implement new income streams and optimise pricing.
• Develop and launch new service lines, projects and care pathways using data‑driven insights.
• Build strong relationships with internal finance, procurement and commercial teams, as well as external wholesalers and pharma companies.
• Deliver excellent customer service, manage patient relationships and handle complaints professionally.
• Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Act 2007, maintain controlled drug records and uphold SOPs.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with PSI registration and experience in high‑volume pharmacy settings.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage own workload.
• Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Desirable: experience in retail pharmacy operations, service development, and a postgraduate qualification in management or business.
