Consultant Haematologist

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join its specialist team. This permanent position is based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, with additional support responsibilities for Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Vale of Leven.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑case, outpatient, inpatient and consultative haematology services across the Clyde region.
• Provide clinical and laboratory haematology expertise to multiple hospitals.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Clinical & Laboratory Haematology services.
• Develop a special interest area aligned with service needs.

Required profile

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a licence to practise.
• Higher specialist training leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
• Eligibility to start within 6 months of interview date, or equivalent training for non‑UK applicants.
