About the role
The Customer Service Assistant will deliver an outstanding experience to shoppers in a busy retail environment. Working closely with the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager, you will help keep the store running smoothly while handling bets and cash transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations.
- Open and close the shop, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Manage cash handling, including accepting and paying out bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
- Maintain high presentation standards and shop cleanliness.
- Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to multi‑channel and digital offerings.
- Step in to lead the team in the absence of senior managers.
Required profile
- Customer‑service oriented with a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexible to work 7 days a week and adapt to changing shop needs.
- Interest in sports and betting, with good communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems.
