Customer Service Assistant

About the role

You will deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast‑paced betting shop, supporting the Shop Manager and team with daily operations. The role combines front‑line service, cash handling and occasional shop management duties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations.
• Open and close the shop, manage the team and oversee cash‑handling procedures when senior managers are absent.
• Accept and process customer bets accurately via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Act as a brand ambassador, guiding customers through multi‑channel and digital betting options.
• Maintain high shop presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
• Promote social responsibility duties and introduce customers to in‑shop and online product offerings.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with strong integrity and trustworthiness.
• Flexible to work a 7‑day schedule and adaptable to a retail environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and cash‑handling accuracy.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to build rapport with customers, especially in the sporting industry.
• Ambitious, results‑driven and eager to progress within the company.
