Customer Service Assistant – Retail Betting Shop

About the role

You will deliver an outstanding customer experience in a busy betting shop, supporting the Shop Manager and team to ensure smooth daily operations. The role combines front‑of‑house service, cash handling and shop management duties, with opportunities for development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations.
• Open and close the shop, manage the team and oversee cash‑handling procedures when senior staff are absent.
• Accept and process customer bets accurately via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador, guiding customers through multi‑channel and digital betting journeys.
• Maintain high shop presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Work under pressure, continuously seek improvements and support occasional shop management.

• Flexible to work a 7‑day schedule and adapt to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and cash‑handling abilities.
