About the role
As a Day Activity Facilitator you will join a dedicated team delivering person‑centred programmes for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Limerick City and West Limerick. Your primary focus will be the wellbeing and development of service users, ensuring they enjoy a normal, fulfilling daily life.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement activity programmes tailored to each individual's needs and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to monitor progress and adjust plans as required.
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment and prioritize the welfare of all service users.
- Apply conflict‑resolution techniques and empower participants with diverse viewpoints.
- Adhere to HSE’s New Directions Standards and the Person‑Centred Planning process.
Required profile
- Third‑level qualification relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, or at minimum a QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in community development, health or education.
- Full manual driving licence valid on Irish roads.
- Working knowledge of HSE’s Day Services standards and person‑centred planning.
- Positive attitude, commitment to equality and inclusion, and professional conduct.
