Director of Homeless Services

About the role

The Director of Homeless Services will report to the CEO and sit on the Executive Management Team of Dublin Simon Community. This senior position provides strategic and operational leadership for crisis intervention, outreach, emergency accommodation and short‑term community services across Dublin.

Key responsibilities

• Shape organisational strategy and drive service transformation in partnership with the CEO, Board and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee service quality, governance, workforce planning, financial performance and strategic development for a portfolio serving over 8,000 people.
• Ensure services are safe, sustainable, person‑centred and achieve positive housing outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and monitor performance against strategic objectives and organisational scorecards.
• Represent Dublin Simon Community at executive level with government departments, local authorities, the HSE and funders.

Required profile

• Extensive executive leadership experience in homelessness, housing, health, social care or similarly regulated environments.
• Proven track record of leading organisational change and building high‑performing leadership teams.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders across public and third‑sector organisations.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, evidence‑based, person‑centred practice.
