Electrical Engineer – Project Delivery in Pharma & Medical Devices

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and support a range of projects within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors. The role involves delivering projects from detailed design through construction, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery including detailed design, scope definition, field construction and commissioning.
• Prepare cost estimates, timelines and justifications for client proposals.
• Conduct site surveys and design lighting, small power, fire‑alarm, LV distribution and cable sizing.
• Assist in creating and monitoring project schedules, maintaining critical paths and implementing mitigation plans.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Generate User Requirements Specifications with stakeholders and review consultant design packages.
• Issue tender enquiries for consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate with project management and engineers during design, execution and start‑up phases.
• Support field installation and commissioning of larger projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑graduate experience delivering projects in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of CAD (advantageous).
• Technical knowledge of MV/LV power infrastructure, Building Management Systems (BMS), and data/IT infrastructure.
• Proven ability to plan projects, control costs and coordinate multiple stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
